Standpipes and hose
If your business employs an onsite fire brigade, or requires professional grade firefighting equipment, then we have a range of quality fire brigade equipment at very reasonable prices.
Fire-fighting hose often gets rubbed and scuffed when used on concrete or rough surfaces, so our brigade-standard hose has a special tough polyurethane coating to protect it. This high-quality layflat hose is supplied with UK Fire Service standard couplings, so it is compatible with any Fire Services equipment. The hose complies with both type 1 and 2 requirements of BS 6391:1983, comes fitted with alloy couplings and is 75 feet (23 metres) in length.
Fire Brigade Equipment: Fire Hydrants and Standpipes
For easy access to underground water values for fire hydrants, choose a hydrant key with a key section of over a metre long. Our alloy metal model will not bend or slip when you are releasing standard BS750 2 1/2" BSRT male valves, and we also stock a super-strong steel version for frequent users.
Standpipes must be light to lift yet strong enough to take the water pressures involved. Our alloy standpipe (single head version) features a standard UK 2.5" female BSRT inlet and female outlet. For greater capacity, order our double-headed version.
Our lightweight standard 2.5"/64mm aluminium coupling is ideal for occasional use, and we also have plastic and gunmetal versions available on request.
