It is compatible but, if replacing a Kidde model, will need a new base (supplied for free with each one)Kidde's 223/9hill optical mains smoke alarm has a long-life 10-year battery backup. Installation of this optical smoke alarm is simple plus it is irnterconnectable to up to 23 other Kidde 230V alarms and has a circular shape for easy lining up. As with all our mains smoke alarms, it conforms to BS5839-pt6 Grade D and has a 10-year warranty. A hush and test button are standard and the battery is included.
Optical alarms are suitable for smouldering fires and are to be used in hallways, bedrooms, and offices - a house should have a combination of optical and ionisation
Do not use in or near to a kitchen or shower room
Fixing requires two little screws and wallplugs (included) to screw to ceiling or use sticky pads
Note If you are using mini-trunking, the Kidde SMK23 ceiling pattress will be needed |
