The new Flaresafe mark 2 is, in most safety experts' opinions, a modern marvel for today's traveller. It's a LED torch, an optical smoke detector and a SOS attack alarm all in one. At 15cm (6" long) and a lightweight 230g, shouldn't you be taking this on holiday with you every time?
We are very excited to have the Flare Safe travel alarm and here are it's ingenious workings
1. Torch with three settings: full beam with focused 20m beam and 2km rescue visibility, half beam (for reading) and an SOS strobe beam
2. Smoke alarm: twist the base and the detector pops up (as shown in picture). When it alarms, the torch comes on to enable you to find your way out. And it passed the test for BS BSi 5446 pt. 1. How clever is that?
3. Attack alarm: push the two orange buttons at the same time to let off a piercing 110dB alarm that can be heard half a km away and will sound for 60 hours. The rear button can be held down for a temporary alarm as well
