Many have tried to come up with a small 1kg halon fire extinguisher replacement but the Fireblitz FE36 automatic fire extinguisher is by far the best - and possibly the only one made under a ISO 9000 quality system - on the market.

FE-36 is made by DuPont and will leave no residue after a fire which makes it suitable for delicate test equipment that is left running in unattended areas and, as with all auto fire extinguishers, it is suitable for small boat engines. The 1kg automatic will cover 1.7 cubic metres and the bulb will burst at 79 degrees centrigrade (that temperature is tested as being the ideal).
